Personalize Your Images with Text and Logo Overlays
A photo does not always tell the whole story on its own. A product image may need a short label, a social post may need a headline, and a visual asset may need a brand logo. Imagesmint's Add Text to Image tool lets you combine these elements with an image directly in your browser.
Rather than offering a full graphic-design workspace, it focuses on a small set of practical controls: text or image overlays, color and size adjustments, rotation, and direct positioning on the preview.
Text when you need a message; a logo when you need a brand mark
Switch between two editing modes to choose what appears over your image.
In text mode, enter up to 500 characters, pick a color, set a font size from 10 to 200 pixels, and rotate the text. The text starts near the center of the image, but you can drag it to a different location. Longer text is wrapped to fit within the available image width.
In image mode, upload a logo in PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG format. Adjust its width from 5% to 90% of the base image width, change its rotation, and position it by dragging. Four quick-placement controls help put the logo in a corner without manually moving it there.
Build your overlay in a few steps
- Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image as the background.
- Choose Text to enter a message or Image to add a logo.
- Adjust the available size, color, and rotation settings.
- Drag the overlay on the preview until the placement looks right. For a logo, you can also use a corner-position preset.
- Download the combined image as a PNG file.
What happens to the original image?
The tool draws the base image and the selected overlay onto a canvas, then exports the combined result as PNG. You do not have to choose an output format. Even when the source image is JPG or WebP, the finished download is a PNG file.
The downloaded file contains the visible result as one flattened image, not separately editable text and logo layers. Keep the original photo if you might want to reposition or remove an overlay later.
For a branded overlay with adjustable transparency, use the separate Image Watermark tool. If you are creating caption-style images, the Meme Generator may also be a better fit. You can resize the finished graphic using the Image Resizer.
Questions about adding text to images
Can I move the text anywhere on the image?
Yes. The text starts in the center by default, and you can drag it to the desired position in the preview. Its position is adjusted directly on the image rather than through numeric X and Y fields.
Can I change the font size and color?
You can choose a text color and set the size between 10 and 200 pixels. The tool uses a predefined font stack rather than offering a font-family selector.
Can I use a logo instead of text?
Yes. Switch to Image mode and upload a PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG logo. You can resize, rotate, and position it over the background image.
Why is the downloaded file PNG when I uploaded a JPG?
The tool exports the composited canvas as PNG for every supported source-image format. Your original JPG is not replaced; the download is a separate file containing the combined image.
Does PNG output remove the background?
No. PNG can support transparency, but this tool does not automatically remove the background of your original photo. For that task, use the Background Remover before adding your text or logo.
Are my images uploaded to Imagesmint?
The image editing and PNG export take place locally in your browser. The workflow does not require sending the base image to the Imagesmint server.
What are the upload limits?
The base image can be up to 30 MB, subject to additional dimension and pixel limits. Logo files can be up to 15 MB and must also fit within the supported image-dimension limits. If a file cannot be loaded, try a smaller image.
